I mount a lot of TV's but this one was the hardest. It was a tiled fireplace wall with metal studs. I was surprised my studfinder found the studs through the tile. On a TV this size I could mount it without studs and not worry normally. But on tile I was worried a little flex in the drywall might pop the tile off.

So I was happy when I found the studs. Drilling the tile turned out to be quite hard. I have drilled tile, concrete, stone and brick before and it is usually pretty easy. But this was the hardest tile ever. I had to drill holes with progressively larger tile bits. Starting with a small one to get through, than a larger one to make it larger. Then larger again. The home owner said he was happy he did not try it himself.
